Seller FAQ

How much will I receive from my sale?

You receive 100% of the agreed sale price. BidMyTimeshare.com charges a one-time listing fee ($18–$65 depending on listing type) but takes 0% commission on the sale. The full agreed price goes from buyer to seller directly.

Can I set any asking price?

Yes. You set your own asking price. The platform does not impose minimum or maximum prices. For timeshares priced under $1,000, a free 12-month listing is available.

What if I receive no offers?

If your listing expires without an offer, you can renew it (paying a new listing fee) or reduce your asking price. Timeshare resale prices on secondary markets are typically much lower than original developer prices — this is normal and expected.

Do I need to pay maintenance fees during the listing period?

Yes. You remain the legal owner until the sale and transfer are completed. Maintenance fees remain your responsibility. Failing to pay them may affect the resort booking and deter buyers.

Can I cancel my listing?

Yes. You can remove your listing at any time from your seller dashboard. Listing fees are non-refundable once a listing goes live.

Buyer FAQ

How do I know the listing is genuine?

BidMyTimeshare.com reviews all listings within 24 hours. We recommend buyers verify the resort membership directly with the resort before completing any payment. Ask the seller for their membership certificate or contract reference number.

What due diligence should I do before buying?

Contact the resort to confirm the seller is a registered member in good standing. Check that maintenance fees are paid and the booking year is available. Review the resort's transfer process and any applicable transfer fees before agreeing on terms.

Is there a cooling-off period?

The sale agreement is a private contract between buyer and seller. Any cooling-off period depends on the laws of your jurisdiction. Some countries provide statutory cancellation rights for contracts entered into remotely — check with a local advisor.

Who pays the resort transfer fee?

This is negotiated between buyer and seller as part of the sale agreement. Common arrangements: buyer pays, seller pays, or they split it. Transfer fees range from $0 to approximately $500 depending on the resort.

Can I resell the timeshare after buying it?

Yes. Once the ownership transfer is complete and the resort recognises you as the new owner, you are free to sell or rent the timeshare on BidMyTimeshare.com or any other marketplace.
