Cortina d'Ampezzo, host of the 2026 Winter Olympics, is about 35 kilometres away and worth a day trip for its shops and restaurants, while Bolzano, the regional capital, is around 50 kilometres away and makes a good cultural outing with its old town, markets and museums. Hikers with a free day often head for Tre Cime di Lavaredo, one of the most photographed UNESCO World Heritage landscapes in the Dolomites.
