Buyer's Guide
Everything you need to know before buying a timeshare on BidMyTimeshare.com
Buying a timeshare through BidMyTimeshare.com is straightforward. This guide walks you through each step.
Step 1: Find the Right Listing
Browse listings by country, resort, or price. Use filters to narrow by ownership type (deeded, right-to-use, points-based) and listing type (sale or auction).
Step 2: Review the Listing Details
Read the full listing carefully: resort name, week number or floating season, unit size, maintenance fee, ownership type, and any RCI/II affiliation. Contact the seller if you have questions.
Step 3: Make an Offer or Place a Bid
For fixed-price listings, use the Make an Offer button. For auctions, place your bid before the auction ends. Once submitted, your offer is binding upon acceptance.
Step 4: Offer Accepted — Contract Sent
When the seller accepts your offer, the platform generates a standard sales contract and emails it to both parties as a PDF. Review, print, sign, and return the contract as instructed.
Step 5: Pay the Seller Directly
Pay the agreed price by bank transfer directly to the seller. The platform is not involved in the payment. Payment must be made within 7 days of signing the contract.
Step 6: Confirm Payment
Once payment is made, click Payment confirmed on your dashboard. This notifies both parties and completes the transaction. BidMyTimeshare.com charges zero commission on sales.

Are There Any Taxes?
