The wider Costa Smeralda coastline, with its granite headlands and clear water, is roughly 15 km away. Further afield, ferries run out to the Maddalena Islands, a protected marine park good for snorkelling and boat trips, while Olbia's harbour, about 35 km away, is the main ferry and flight connection to mainland Italy.
